Join legendary food writer and teacher, Valentina Harris, and guests at Contini Cannonball, on Tuesday 8th March 2016, for a very special event to mark International Women’s Day.
Hosted by broadcaster and journalist Stephen Jardine, you are warmly invited to spend an evening with Valentina and enjoy a 3-course seasonal supper specially created by Contini’s executive chef, Suzanne O’Connor, in collaboration with Valentina herself, while she regales you with her famous stories about her family’s colourful history; her life in Italy and the UK; her career highlights as a woman in the food business and her own food philosophy honed over more than 35 years as a self-styled ambassadress for real, authentic Italian food and the extraordinary producers that make the ingredients for her much loved dishes.
Guaranteed to make you laugh and cry, but hopefully also to make you think, this promises to be a memorable evening! Valentina’s book of family memories and recipes, Foodoir – Fiori di Zucca, will be on sale, and she will be delighted to flamboyantly sign copies.
