Cooperation in Finland

Joint event with the Cross Party Group on Co-operatives, sponsored by Willie Coffey MSP, supported by the Scottish Government.
Speaker: Kari Huhtala, Director of co-operation with Pellervo, the Finnish co-op trade association.
Kari will discuss the scale of Finland’s 5,000 co-operatives across traditional agriculture, retail and banking sectors as well as the new wave of co-op start-ups as a response to the economic depression of the 90’s.
The event is free to attend.
A light buffet and refreshments will be available before the meeting begins. Participants should aim to arrive by 5.45pm to gain access to the Committee Room for the event.
PLEASE NOTE THAT PLACES CAN ONLY BE BOOKED VIA EVENTBRITE and are on a first come, first served basis.
As usual an audio recording of the event, including Q&A / discussion session, and a short video interview with Kari will be available afterwards.
Attendees are welcome to meet in Hemma bar on Holyrood Road following the event. Food is available until 9pm.
