How to achieve a fairer Scotland?
29th September 2015 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Spend a couple of hours considering how we might achieve a fairer Scotland by 2030. All welcome.
An open, engaging event where invited participants have a bite to eat together, reflect on what is important for them right now and what their big concerns are going forward.
Participants shall have conversations on a number of concerns including:
- Food choices – where it comes from and who benefits from its growing and preparation?
- Warm homes and buildings – heated affordably
- Getting around with minimal impact on local and global environment
- Capacity building in our communities – how can people be more empowered?
If you have other topics please bring them. The event will be written and shared widely with stakeholders as well as the Fairer Scotland team. They have published a short document designed to support a public conversation on how we together create a Fairer Scotland. It describes some of the successes and challenges in Scotland today and a few ideas about what a fairer Scotland could look like: www.gov.scot/Publications/2015/06/4845
